Floral baby blanket


The beginning: 

  1. ring of 3 
  2. ch 6, dc into ring, ch 3, dc into ring, ch 3, dc into ring, ch 3, dc into ring, ch 3 and attach to the 3rd stitch of the first chain 
  3. ch 3 up, 2 dc into ch (from previous row), 3 dc into next ch, ch 2, 3 more dc into same ch, 3 dc into next ch, ch 2, 3 dc into same ch, 3 dc into next ch, ch 2, 3 dc into same ch, 3 dc into next ch, ch 2, attach to the top of 1st ch. 
  4. sl st into ch you just finished, ch 2, sl st after 3 dc (from previous row), ch 2, sl st after 3 dc... continue until the end of row, attach last ch to 1st sl st. 
  5. corners: 3 dc, ch 2, 2 dc all in same ch. sides: 3 dc per ch... continue until end of row. 
alternate 4 and 5 until you get the size that you want

The flowers: 
Start this after you've done a row of ch:s. 

  1. sl st into nearest ch (previous row), ch 5, attach ch with sl st to the next ch of the previous row, ch 5, sl st, ch 5, sl st... corners: sl st, ch 5, sl st into same ch, ch 5, sl st into next ch. 
  2. sl st to the "top" of nearest ch (of previous row), sl st on the top, (ch 3, dc 3) cluster into same sl st,  ch 5, lock chain into ring (attach last stitch to the first stitch with sl st), (ch 3, dc 2) as cluster into the ring, ch 3 and attach to ring with sl st, attach petal to that of previous flower, (ch 3, dc 2) as cluster into the ring, ch 3 and attach to ring with sl st, (ch 3, dc 2) as cluster into the ring, ch 3 and attach to ring with sl st, (ch 3, dc 3) as cluster into ring, sl st, attach to next ch, ch 3, attach to next ch, start over
  3. ch 5, sl st into top petal of flower, ch 2, dc into connection between two side petals, ch 2, dc into top petal... corners: dc between 2 petals, ch 3, dc into same spot
continue as if it was a row of regular ch:s 

The stripes: 
start after a row of dc 

  1. 3 dc into cluster, ch 2, 3 dc in cluster, ch 2... corners: 3 dc in cluster in ch (previous row), ch 3, 3 dc in cluster in ch (previous row)
  2. (2 dc into ch, 2 dc into next ch) cluster, ch 3, (2 dc into ch, 2 dc into next ch) cluster, ch 3... corners: ch 5 between two clusters
  3. sl st into center of cluster (from previous row), 3 dc between clusters, sl st into center of cluster (from previous row), 3 dc between clusters corners: 3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc all in same ch
  4. regular row of ch 2, sl st, ch 2, sl st, attach sl st into the 2nd dc of every "group" (groups of 3 dc from previous row)
